Three years after the formation of Task Force 141, the Modern Warfare 2 campaign serves as an indirect continuation of the story of Modern Warfare 2019. Only continue reading if you are okay with knowing what to expect from missions because there are some spoilers ahead.
All Missions In Modern Warfare 2
Dark Water
On June 9, Infinity Ward used the Summer Game Fest event as an opportunity to demonstrate Modern Warfare 2 gameplay through the Dark Water campaign objective.
The operation follows troops of Task Force 141 as they board an enemy rig to disable a missile on the US Atlantic Coast.
The mission appears to be difficult since windy and wet conditions are driving massive freight containers all over the place. The task has elements of chaos and stealth, and it involves shooting explosive barrels in a gunfight.
Nightwar
In this campaign on Missions In Modern Warfare 2, the player controls Soap in the action-packed mission Nightwar.
As Task Force 141 enters the region on this operation at night, an allied chopper crashes into the vicinity. After clearing a terrorist-filled structure with night vision, 141 goes to secure the downed chopper.
The operation finishes with a missile striking the helicopter as it is surrounded by a large number of hostiles.
Wet Work
Although veteran Call of Duty players may remember “Wet Work” as the multiplayer map, missions in Modern Warfare 2 use it to demonstrate the new swimming and water features.
In the stealth-based level Wet Work, which is set in Amsterdam, the player assumes control of Gaz as he and Price search for the person who is smuggling on the terrorists’ behalf.
Wet Work has a lot of underwater action, and Price counsels Gaz to stick to utilizing knives to maintain stealth. With the water as cover, Gaz travels stealthily across the area eliminating opponents one by one before dragging them into the water for a silent murder.
This level concludes when Price and Gaz learn that the terrorists are employing the Mexican Cartel, “Las Alamas,” to transport supplies. This level includes a variety of distinct gameplay concepts, such as the ledge hang and underwater shooting.
Tower
The Tower task in Modern Warfare 2 has players rappel down the side of a building while having complete control over whether they go head first or feet first.
Although the mission’s setting was kept a secret by the creators, a few sharp-eyed gamers claimed that Chicago was the location after noticing the Two Prudential Plaza skyscraper. Players are free to approach this assignment in their own manner, showcasing a number of diverse play styles.
Vehicle-Based Mission
The fourth mission of all missions in Modern Warfare 2 displayed, albeit we don’t know its exact name, saw the player battling inside and outside of cars as part of a Mexican convoy.
In this task, players may blast out windows, scale cars’ roofs, and even snatch other cars while they’re moving, showcasing all the new vehicle mechanics. Captain Price is seen in some of the Modern Warfare 2 advertising materials looking all goofy, and Barry Sloane, who plays the role, said the mission will be coming back. The developers claim that the player will work with Price to conduct long-range sniping in Spain.
